Studio Corpus strongly believes in the importance of promoting inclusion, equality and respect within our community. As we observe recent events and international discussions on racial injustice, we recognize the need to actively engage in the fight against racism and discrimination in all its forms. As a multi-disciplinary studio, we understand that the well-being of body, soul and spirit is inseparable from the quest for a more just and egalitarian world.

 

As a center located in Quebec, Canada, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all of our members, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion or sexual orientation. We firmly reject any form of racism, discrimination or prejudice, and strive to promote diversity and equality in all of our activities.

 

We are committed to taking concrete action to combat racism and discrimination within our center and our community. This includes :

 

1. Education and awareness : We will continue to educate ourselves on issues related to racism and discrimination, by participating in trainings, organizing discussions and sharing relevant resources with our members.

 

2. Promoting diversity: We will actively work to create a welcoming and diverse environment, encouraging the participation of people of all ethnic backgrounds and ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.

 

3. Eliminating Unconscious Bias: We will recognize and challenge our own unconscious biases, ensuring they do not manifest in our interactions with our members. We also encourage our members to do the same and promote goodwill and mutual understanding.

 

4. Collaboration with specialized consultants: We will use consultants specializing in diversity, inclusion and anti-racism issues to guide us in our efforts and help us put in place policies and best practices.

 

5. Commitment to social justice: We will support initiatives and organizations that actively fight against racism and discrimination, by making donations, participating in community events and creating meaningful partnerships.

 

Together, as a Studio Corpus community, we are committed to promoting equality, diversity and mutual respect. We believe that every individual has the right to be treated with dignity and fairness, and we will continue to work to create an environment where these values are fully respected.

 

We recognize that this declaration is an important first step, but that concrete and continuous actions are needed to effect real change. We are committed to taking these steps and making our center a place where everyone feels welcome, respected and valued.
